Venison Shepherd’s Pie

Yield: 4 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. In a large skillet, cook venison over medium heat until browned. 3. Add onion, garlic, carrots, celery, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender. 4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir until coated. 5. Pour in beef broth and stir until the mixture thickens. 6. Add frozen peas and stir until heated through. 7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. 8. Spread mashed potatoes over the top. 9. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes. 10. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
