Ingredients
- 500g chicken (thighs or breasts)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley or lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the chicken
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Sear the chicken
Heat oil in a pan.
Add chicken and cook both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the sauce
In the same pan:
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 20–30 seconds.
- Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Mix well and simmer until slightly thick.
4. Combine
Return chicken to the pan.
Coat well with the sauce and cook 5–7 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and sauce becomes sticky.
5. Serve
Garnish with parsley or lemon slices.
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or salad.
