Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe 🍤

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 250 g (½ lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but adds great flavor)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (divided)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp water (for steaming veggies)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds or spring onions (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Marinate shrimp: In a bowl, toss shrimp with soy sauce, cornstarch, and pepper. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Cook the shrimp: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Stir-fry shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry the veggies: In the same pan, add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and onion for 30 seconds, then add carrots, bell pepper, and broccoli. Add 1 tbsp water, cover, and steam for 2 minutes.
  4. Combine everything: Return shrimp to the pan, add oyster sauce (if using), and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until glossy.
  5. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped spring onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
