Spicy Prawn Curry
Ingredients
- 300g prawns (cleaned and deveined)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ cup coconut milk
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- Fresh curry leaves (optional)
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Pour in tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Add prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
- Pour in coconut milk and simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with steamed rice.
